Welcome to Shoreline (UK) Limited. These terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as “Terms”) govern the use of our refrigeration products and related services. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please refrain from using our services.
2.0 The supplier
Shoreline (UK) Limited is a registered company in England with the company registration number 4470995. Our registered address is 16-17, Martello Enterprise Centre, Courtwick Lane, Littlehampton, West Sussex BN17 7PA, England. All correspondence should be directed to this address.
3.0 Placing orders
You are responsible for ensuring that you order the correct goods, having established that they are exactly what you want in terms of specification, options, and color. Shoreline (UK) Limited will not accept returns of goods other than damaged or faulty goods.
Before purchasing from Shoreline (UK) Limited, you are deemed to have read these Terms and understood them.
All products offered are subject to availability.
4.0 Order cancellations
You have the right to cancel your order at any time before a confirmed delivery date free of charge.
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your products without giving a reason, providing the goods have not been unpacked or assembled, and are in a re-saleable condition. The 14-day cancellation period begins the day after receipt of those goods.
If you decide to cancel your order or wish to return your products to Shoreline (UK) Limited, we will refund your credit card within 30 days of cancellation less a 15% re-stocking charge.
You will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us.
5.0 Description of goods
All the products we sell are of a technical nature, and it may not be practical to publish detailed specifications of all the products.
All images, descriptive matter, specifications, and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods.
6.0 Payment and price
The total price payable for the goods will be stipulated at the time when you place your order, whether or not the order has been confirmed.
All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT but exclusive of UK mainland delivery charges, which will be payable as indicated at the time of placing your order.
Payment for goods is to be made in full prior to the goods being dispatched either by credit card or cleared cheque.
All prices include VAT at the prevailing rate (as from 4th January 2011), but they are subject to change without notice.
Allow approximately 3-5 days from receipt of the order for delivery within the UK Mainland.
Shoreline (UK) Limited will always endeavor to adhere to delivery estimates, but they are unfortunately estimates, and even with the most efficient systems, delays can occur, which may be outside of our control.
Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only, and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay in the delivery of the goods. Time is not of the essence.
Goods are dispatched in perfect condition by a courier that requires a receipt signature by the addressee confirming the goods have been received in the same condition.
Goods are shipped on a pallet and are delivered to the doorstep or goods inwards only.
Any damaged goods must be refused, and the courier informed to return the goods to Shoreline (UK) Limited.
Any internal damage to the goods must be reported in writing to our office within 3 working days; otherwise, Shoreline (UK) Limited will not be held responsible.
8.0 Receipt of goods
Upon receipt of the goods, you must check the condition of the consignment and note any apparent damage on the delivery note. If the consignment appears to have significant damage, please refuse the delivery and specify the reason to the courier. In the event of either of these events happening, please report this immediately to our customer care team.
9.0 Damage notice
All products must be unpacked and checked for damage within 24 hours of delivery.
If any loss or damage is discovered, you must notify us in writing within 24 hours. We cannot accept any claims for damages outside of this time frame.
To report any damaged consignments, please contact our customer care team at the following email address: firstname.lastname@example.org. Please provide your name and order number to enable us to process your query.
10.0 Faulty goods
Goods received as faulty will be replaced with the same model within a reasonable time, depending upon availability. If a replacement is not available, then a full refund excluding carriage will be made.
Faulty goods must be returned at your expense by courier and include transit damage insurance. The goods must be in their original packing and include all accessories and instruction books. Any missing items or transit damage will be chargeable to you.
Shoreline (UK) Limited offers a guarantee of 12 months from the date of purchase on an ex-works basis, subject to correct installation and usage.
Faulty items can either be returned to Shoreline (UK) Limited or taken to one of our nearest authorized service agents for repair. Details of these agents can be obtained by contacting Shoreline (UK) Limited.
Repaired faulty items sent to Shoreline (UK) Limited will be returned to you at our expense.
Errors and omissions excepted.
13.0 Legal rights
These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
14.0 Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
By using our products and services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms.
